Panic/Duress Alarms
Fortress Security can install panic buttons or duress alarms as part of the Alarm System to generate an immediate audible or silent alarm if pressed.
Panic buttons are commonly linked to alarm systems to indicate a distressful or a threatening situation. They are usually installed in places where they can be easily pressed in an attack situation; such as bank teller stations, reception desks, or within the home, offering peace of mind to staff members.
When activated, they can generate a silent or audible alarm including immediate Guard response if your system is connected to monitoring. A panic alarm can also be generated by keying in a sequence of numbers or ‘Duress Code’ into the alarm keypad. Fortress Security also offer remote hand-held panic buttons which can generate a silent or audible alarm response if pressed.
